HOW TO DSST

Steps to testing out for college credit

DSST exams were developed to award credit to students for knowledge equivalent to that learned by students taking a standard classroom course.  Below are the four steps to taking a DSST exam.

Step 1 – Check with your college to learn about their DSST  policy

Each university and college develops their own policy on which DSST exams they accept for college credit.  Be sure to check with your institution to determine which courses they will accept that you can test out of.

Step 2 – Review your options and choose which exams to take

After you determine the DSST exams your college or university will accept, pick the exams that fit with your degree plan.

Step 3 – Find a DSST testing center and register

DSST exams are administered at colleges and universities across the country. Once you find a testing center, you will contact them directly to register and schedule your exam.

Step 4 – Prepare for your DSST exam

Knowledge2College online courses will prepare you to pass DSST exams.  Whether you need a little help or a lot, Knowledge2College online courses are customized to your needs.
